The deep well pump is a vertical long-shaft multistage centrifugal pump that can lift water from deep wells; as the groundwater level drops, the deep well pump is more widely used than the general centrifugal pump. However, due to improper selection, some users have problems such as not being able to install it, insufficient water output, not being able to pump water, and even damaging the well. So, how should users choose a deep well pump? Frog Pumps is a professional deep well pump manufacturer and supplier. Now I will tell you how to choose a deep well pump correctly.

1 According to the water output of the well, select the flow rate of the well pump.

Each well has an economically optimal water output, and the flow rate of the pump should be equal to or less than the water output when the dynamic water level of the motor-driven well drops to 3 meters above the installation position of the deep well pump. When the pumping volume is greater than the water output of the motor-driven well, it will cause the wall of the motor-driven well to collapse and deposit, the deep well pump will run dry due to lack of water, wear the impeller, and affect the service life of the well and the pump; if the pumping volume is too small, the benefits of the well will not be fully utilized. Therefore, the best way is to carry out a pumping test on the motor-operated well, and select the pump flow rate of the well based on the maximum water output that the well may provide. The flow rate of the pump is subject to the brand model or the number marked on the manual.

2. Motor-driven wells whose water and sediment content exceeds 1/10,000 should not install and use deep well pumps.

Because the sand content of the well water is too large, such as more than 0.01%, it will accelerate the wear of the rubber bearing, cause the pump to vibrate, and shorten the service life of the pump.

3 Preliminarily determine the pump type according to the well diameter and water quality.

Different types of pumps have certain requirements on the diameter of the wellbore, and the maximum external dimension of the pump should be smaller than the well diameter by 25-50mm. If the wellbore is skewed, the maximum external dimension of the pump should be smaller. In short, the pump body part should not be close to the inner wall of the well to prevent the well from being damaged by the vibration of the pump.

4 According to the depth of the well water level drop and the loss of the water pipeline, determine the actual lift required by the well pump

The lift actually required by the well pump is the lift of the well pump, which is equal to the vertical distance (net lift) from the dynamic water level of the well to the position of the water outlet plus the pipeline loss lift. Pipeline loss head is usually 6 to 10% of the net head.

The dynamic water level of the well shall not be lower than the water inlet of the pump by 1-1.5m. The water entry depth of the pump should not exceed the maximum water entry depth specified in the pump manual.

If a high-lift pump is used for low-lift pumping, its flow rate will inevitably increase, and the pump will operate under the condition of large flow, low efficiency and high energy consumption. Efficiency, but in fact the gain outweighs the loss and should not be advocated, because when the flow rate of the pump reaches or exceeds the maximum water output of the well, the structure of the filter layer outside the well pipe will be damaged, and a large amount of sand will enter the well in the lightest case. The ground would sink, compromising the safety of the well. In addition, when the water pump runs at a high speed with low lift, large flow and high energy consumption for a long time, the current of the water pump will increase, and the stator winding will heat up. affect the service life of the pump; and lead to increased energy consumption and electricity bills. Therefore, the lift of the deep well pump must be greater than the vertical height from the pipeline loss consumed in the water delivery process and the dynamic water level.
