Requirements for Pumps in Chemical Plant

1) Must meet the requirements of flow, head, pressure, teperature, NPSH and other techological parameters.

2)Must meet the requirements of media's characteristics:

For the delivery of flammable, explosive, toxiac or valuable medium pump, the shaft seal is reliable or the use of no leakage pump, such as shielding pump, magnetic drive pump, diaphragm pump, etc.

For the pump conveying corrosive medium, it is required that the flow parts adopt corrosion-resistance materials.

For conveying containing solid particle medium, it is required to use wear-resistant materials for the flow parts, and clean liquid should be used to wash the shaft seal when necessary.

3)Must meet the requirements of the onsite insatllation

To install in the presence of corrosive gas pump, atmospheric corrosion prevention measures are required.

For the pump installed in the outdoor environment temperature below -20℃, the cold and brittle phenomenon of the pump should be considered, and low temperature resistant materials should be used.

For pumps installed in the explosive area, explosion-proof motors should be used according to explosion area class.
